Delivering a second season full of emotions and twists, as well as an open ending, the question fans are asking is: will the anime series of Arknights have a season 3?
And unfortunately, to the sadness of people eager for a sequel, there is still no official announcement from the producers or the studio responsible for the project.

This indicates that the studio, as well as Hypergryph, the company that developed the game and produced the anime series, continue to work together and may have plans for the franchise on TV and streaming.
2. There is plenty of original material to adapt
Based on a cell phone game released in 2019, Arknights has a type of campaign mode, called “Main Theme“, where the main story behind this universe develops.
Currently consisting of 12 episodes, divided into 3 narrative arcs, the game still has a good amount of content to be adapted into the anime series.
The 1st arc of the game was completely adapted by the 1st season (Prelude to Dawn), while the second was partially included in the 2nd season (Perish in Frost), leaving episodes 7 and 8.
This means that the Arknights anime series could get a season 3, finishing the 2nd arc of the game and complementing the remaining episodes with some of the themes covered in the game’s secondary events.
3. Previous seasons were made in sequence
An important detail to consider when we talk about sequels is the interval between releases. Because having the green light doesn’t mean launching a new season so soon.
Fortunately, based on the production history of the other two seasons of the anime series, Arknights could have a season 3 approximately 1 year after the original airing of the last episode.
If there are no unforeseen events or strategic changes in plans, this is a very acceptable period for fans to wait for more stories from Rhodes Island and other places in this universe.
4. The anime was well received by the public
Despite being a title not yet well known by the general anime public, Arknights debuted with good reception from specialized critics and positive comments from users.
The quality of design and the anime’s engaging story were the main pillars of praise, showing that the team behind the project was competent and met everyone’s expectations.
Therefore, a cancellation due to rejection is unlikely, opening up yet another possibility of continuation for Arknights and a 3rd season of the anime series.
With all this on the table, we believe that Arknights will have a season 3 soon, even if this project is not officially confirmed yet.
